SOAFEE-Based Software Defined Vehicle Development for Autonomous Driving
This presentation builds on the workshop “Getting Started with Cloud Native Software Development” that was presented in last year’s DevSummit. As a result of extensive collaborations and cooperative development, last year’s workshop concepts are now expanded and extended into a practical full solution set, providing:
- Cloud native accessibility and scalability
- Environmental parity between cloud and edge
- An accessible autonomous vehicle software stack
- A common mechanism for updating virtual and actual vehicles at scale
Viewers will learn how to apply aspects of Scalable Open Architecture for Embedded Edge (SOAFEE) to Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) development and deployment of autonomous driving systems. The open source autonomous driving stack of the Autoware Foundation (AWF) and the Open AD Kit system architecture will be described. An integrated Over-the-Air (OTA) update infrastructure from the eSync Alliance will be explained, highlighting how a single mechanism can be used for both virtual and actual deployments at mass scale.
