Ambassador Criteria

Arm Ambassadors are experienced developers and technical leaders who actively support and grow the Arm ecosystem. You don’t need to meet every item below, but strong candidates typically demonstrate many of these qualities.

Technical expertise


  • Hands-on experience building software on Arm-based platforms 
  • Expertise in one or more areas such as AI, cloud, edge, embedded, mobile, gaming, graphics, automotive, and physical AI systems  
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to other developers 

Knowledge sharing and education


  • Proven track record of sharing expertise through blogs, talks, videos, tutorials, workshops, or open source contributions 
  • Passion for helping developers build, optimize, and scale on Arm

Community engagement 


  • Active participation in developer communities (online or in person) 
  • Willingness to support others via Discord, forums, events, workshops, AMAs, or mentoring 
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming community 

Collaboration and feedback 

  • Interest in collaborating with Arm teams 
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback on tools, documentation, and developer experience
  • Openness to testing new technologies and sharing real-world insights 

Professional conduct 


  • Acts as a positive representative and advocate of the Arm developer ecosystem 
  • Communicates clearly, respectfully, and responsibly

Application Process

How the Arm Ambassador Application Process Works

1. When you can apply

  • Applications open once every six months.
  • If applications are closed, you can join the waitlist and we’ll notify you when the next application window opens.

2. How to apply

Complete and submit the Arm Ambassador application form through your Arm ID. You’ll be asked about:

  • Your technical background
  • Community involvement
  • Why you’re interested in becoming an ambassador

3. What happens after you apply

  • All applications are reviewed by the Arm team one month after applications close.
  • We assess applications based on location, technical expertise, and previous work on Arm-based platforms.

4. While you’re waiting

  • If you’re not already a member of the Arm Developer Program when you apply, you’ll automatically become an Arm Developer Program member.
  • You’ll get immediate access to:
    - Your personalized developer dashboard
    - Tools and learning resources
    - Discord community and other member benefits

5. Application outcomes

  • We’ll notify you once a decision has been made.
  • If successful, you’ll receive onboarding details and next steps by email and through your personalized dashboard.
  • If unsuccessful:
    - You’re welcome to request feedback.
    - You can apply again in a future application cycle.

6. Can you apply if you’re already an Arm Developer Program member

  • Yes, we welcome and encourage you to apply.
  • Simply follow the ambassador application process when applications are open.

  • Ambassador appointments are typically reviewed and assessed annually via a survey. This helps maintain your active status as an ambassador and based on your level of engagement.
  • Activity levels may vary by region and area of expertise.
  • Some opportunities (events, content, sponsorship) are opt-in, not mandatory.
  • Benefits and opportunities will evolve over time as the program grows.
