Hi everyone,

This weekend a significant number of threads and posts were observed containing spam nature on the Community site. It is important to keep Community safe and threads within, therefore we decided to take the community site offline to investigate further. During this time, we removed the spam content and reviewed our moderation and security settings. Happily, we are now back up and running, and we have deployed various changes including:

  • Content that contain URLs may be subject to moderation. This means that the community team will review to ensure they are not malicious before being approved for publication.
  • All new members will enter the community as moderated. This means all activity will go through moderation until the Community team is happy for the user independently. For most users, this will likely mean getting approved after a first post so we can be sure we are not admitting any bad actors into our platform.

I believe all spam content has been removed from the platform. However if you find any content you believe to be possibly spam, then please report the item for the Community team to review. I hope you have not been too inconvenienced by our downtime, and if you have any questions please leave them in the following comments section.

Thank you for your patience while we resolved this issue.

Oli from the Community team.
