Submitting your project

Submission criteria

Submission is now closed
For judges to gain a full understanding of your project, you are required to submit:

  • A presentation of your overall project including video of the prototype in action
  • Full source code
  • A bill of materials
  • A project journal describing how any challenges were overcome
  • Pictures or videos capturing your progress

The feasibility criteria considers whether the solution could be taken to market in the form of a product or organization.

  • Who is eligible to participate?

    You are a permanent, legal resident or citizen of Australia, Canada (excluding Quebec), China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Holland, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Morocco, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States (including D.C.)

    You are at least eighteen (18) years of age.

    You are not a resident of any U.S. embargoed countries (i.e., Iran, Syria, the Crimea region of Ukraine, North Korea, Cuba, or Venezuela).

    You are not a government employee, agent of a government-owned or government or state-controlled entity, or public official.

    You are not involved in the execution or administration of the Competition.

    You must disclose your participation to your employer, and your participation must be permissible under the employer’s policies.

    Failure to meet all eligibility criteria will result in disqualification.

  • Are teams allowed?

    Yes, up to 4 people may participate as a team.

    You may only belong to one team.

  • Can companies enter?

    Companies may enter but must meet all the Eligibility Requirements in the Official Rules, including remaining within the required budget.

  • Can I enter an existing product?

    No, existing products cannot be entered. Your entry must be original work produced between the competition dates.

  • Are there any hardware limitations?

    Other than ensuring the budget is adhered to and Arm technology is actively used, there are no limitations.

  • Are there any budget limitations?

    The budget is $1000. You must submit a Bill Of Materials (BOM) for your prototype. Full details are explained in the Submission Criteria section of the Official Rules.

  • How many submissions can I make?

    You are only able to make one submission per individual or team. Full submission requirements are detailed in the Submission Criteria section of the Official Rules.

  • How do I update my submission?

    The entries will be provided through links to GitHub, DropBox, OneDrive, or other hosting service. You may make changes to your submission at any time up to the close of submissions. Modifications after this will be excluded.

    To correct any mistakes on the submission form, re-submit using the same email address.

  • What is the competition timeline?

    Contest begins: 27 July

    Submissions close: 24 September

    Winners announced: 21 October
