This article describes how you can switch the DS-5 compilers with commands on Windows and Linux.

Windows

To switch the DS-5 compilers, perform the following steps: 

      1. Open the DS-5 Command Prompt of the compiler.

  There are two files provided for you to switch the compiler, as shown the following screenshot:

      2. Use Method 1 or Method 2 to switch the compiler, based on your needs.

 Method 1: Change the current compiler .

 a. Run the select_toolchain.bat file.

 b. Enter a number to select your target compiler.

Note: If you close the current terminal window, the configuration change is reverted. 

Method 2: Change the default compiler.

a. Run the select_default_toolchain.exe file.

b. Enter a number to select your target compiler.

Note: This configuration change does not take effect on the current terminal window, but it takes effect on new terminal windows you open.

Linux 

To switch the DS-5 compilers, perform the following steps:

      1. Go to the directory …/DS-5_v5.xx.x/bin.

      2. Run the shell script file select_default_toolchain.sh in that directory.

      3. Enter a number to select your target compiler.

      4. Run suite_exec <shell> to open a shell.

          You can replace <shell> with a particular shell according to your own case.

      5. Configure the PATH environment variable accordingly, depending on your target compiler.
