Specifies the name of the output file. The file can be either a partially-linked object or an executable image, depending on the command-line options used.
filename is the name of the output file, and can
include a path.
--output=filename is not specified, the linker uses
the following default filenames:
If the output is an executable image.
If the output is a partially-linked object.
filename is specified without path information, it
is created in the current working directory. If path information is specified, then that
directory becomes the default output directory.
