Getting Started with AI: A New Level of Productivity for Embedded Developers
Date: November 19, 2026

Length: 30 minutes, including live Q&A
What if you could spend less time searching device documentation, configuring projects, writing repetitive code, and troubleshooting firmware — and more time developing your embedded application?
Join Christopher Seidl, Product Manager, Arm Keil MDK, to get started with AI-assisted embedded development using Arm Keil Studio and the CMSIS Developer Assistant. Through practical demonstrations on an Arm Cortex-M microcontroller, discover how natural-language questions and instructions help you understand hardware, explore existing projects, add functionality, and investigate build and debugging issues.
Try prompts such as “Which peripherals are used by this application?” and “Create a board layer that separates peripheral interfaces from application logic.” You can also have the assistant investigate a HardFault. The CMSIS Developer Assistant connects AI coding agents to device documentation, CMSIS-Packs, build tools, and debugging capabilities, supporting tasks beyond code generation. You remain in control by reviewing proposed changes and verifying results on hardware. No prior AI coding agent experience is required.
You’ll learn:
- How to get started with AI coding agents in Keil Studio
- How to explore device capabilities and existing projects using natural language
- How to create and extend Cortex-M applications with AI assistance
- How agents can build, debug, and troubleshoot firmware on real hardware
- How to review proposals and verify results
