The purpose of this course is to your understanding of the Armv8-M Architecture from a software perspective by introducing the instruction set, processor modes, memory system, and exceptions.
By the end of this course, you will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Armv8-M Architecture as a whole when developing on your Armv8-M project.
You will understand the basic of the Armv8-M memory model, including the different memory types and how virtual addresses are mapped to physical addresses.
You will also have a grasp of how modes and privilege are used, and behaviours and features of exceptions in Armv8-M
Here is a short preview of the course content:
- Familiarity embedded programming in C and assembler.
- Experience of embedded system development is an advantage.
This course is aimed at people seeking an introduction to the Armv8-M architecture. It provides an overview of the subject, suitable for people without prior experience of working with Arm processors, but who do have a general familiarity with embedded programming or design.
