This topic describes how to set up a named user license for Arm Allinea Studio.
If you have a floating server license, see Set up a floating license for Arm Allinea Studio instead.
Before you begin
- A named user license, is a single file supplied by Arm. If you do not already have this file, request a valid license.
Procedure
- Create a directory called
licenses
in the/opt/arm/
directory. - Copy your license file to the
/opt/arm/licenses
directory.
Notes:- If you want to put the license file in a custom location, or if you are using separate Arm Allinea Studio and Arm Forge licenses, see Change the license file location.
- Do not edit the contents of the license file because doing so might prevent the license from working.
- If you have a named user license or an evaluation license, you do not need to install the Arm Licence Server.
- If you are using your Arm Allinea Studio license with Arm Forge, and do not have a separate Arm Forge license, point
ARM_LICENSE_DIR
at/opt/arm/licenses
:export ARM_LICENSE_DIR=/opt/arm/licenses
Notes:
- If you have an existing Arm Forge license,
ARM_LICENSE_DIR
is already configured, and no further action is required. ALLINEA_LICENSE_DIR
is still supported and can be used instead ofARM_LICENSE_DIR
.
- If you have an existing Arm Forge license,
