Frequently Asked Questions


I only want to attend one day of the Summit. Do you have a single day registration/daily rate?

We would prefer all delegates to attend both days, but if this isn't possible please contact the Committee to see what we can offer you.


Are there any discount for students?

Unfortunately we don’t have a discount for students. However, there's early-bird registration available until 30th June, which is set £50 less than the full registration fee.


I am a presenter – Do I need to register?

Yes – all participants including presenters need to register in advance through our registration system. Places are limited so please ensure to register as early as possible.


My poster has been accepted – What are the specifications?

We do not require any specific format for the posters and can accommodate sizes to a maximum of A1. For poster sizes equal or larger than A2 please ensure your poster is of portrait orientation.

For the event all we require on your person is the poster itself at the Registration Desk, where we will attach it to the board for you. We will have a “Lightning Session” on Thursday 15 September where you will have the opportunity to pitch your idea for 3-5 mins.


I am no longer able to attend the Summit. What’s the cancellation policy?

Please refer to clause 5 in the ARM Terms & Conditions.


Can I transfer my registration to another person?

Unfortunately not. For any changes to your registration, please refer to the ARM Terms & Conditions.


I’d like to change the dates of my stay at the college. How can I do it?

Registration and accommodation booking at Churchill College is managed by Jill Rogers Associates so please contact Jill Rogers Associates directly. If you made booking for a hotel through HotelRes, please contact HotelRes directly, too.


I need a visa for UK. Can ARM provide an invitation letter for the visa application?

Upon full payment of registration fees, the participant may request an invitation letter by emailing the ARM Research Summit Team. Please note that ARM does not give any further support to the visa application process.


What meals will be provided at the Summit?

Lunch and refreshment will be served on both days. There is a conference dinner on Thursday, 15th September, which is included in your registration fee. If you'd like to accompany your partner to the dinner, please book and pay using Delegate Partner's Booking form (£50 per person). If you're staying at Churchill College, full English breakfast is included.


I have submitted an abstract for the talk. When will I hear back?

The Submission Deadline for Abstracts is 17:00 BST, July 1st 2016. We will endeavour to make decisions on accepted talks by the end of July. In some circumstances the committee may approach you before the deadline to clarify aspects of your submission.
